Roof cleaning’s been a major concern for Westchester Residents this summer as they gear up for Fall.  Typically, most of our customers will have their roof cleaned in April and May to get ready for family barbecues and graduation parties for their kids.  This summer, many of our clients opted for extended stays in their beach homes and reached out to us for roof cleaning estimates at the end of August when the kids went back to school.

Algae growth during these past few wet summer months have left unsightly roof stains on the homes of many of our residents.  Fortunately, we’ve been able to perform roof washings that provide an extended shine and protect the roof during the winter months.  Below is an example of one of the cleanings we performed in Bedford, NY.

These large houses with lots of surface area on the roof – typically surrounded by trees whose leaves end up in the roof or gutter – are particularly susceptible to algae, lichen, and fungus that give it that “stained” look.  We came in and used our professional roof cleaning methodologies to wash the roof and prolong the life of the shingles.
